Settings of the Republic:
(Taken from the pages within the forum. This is to help aid role-play within guild chat as well as provide backdrops for RP events)

The Tavern & the Mess Hall:
These are the common areas within the Republic and are backdrops for in guild chat. The two rooms are connected by a large inner archway with no doors to keep people from moving from one room to another or hinder the sounds of someone screaming from the tavern to a friend in the mess hall.
The tavern has dark colored drapes hanging off the walls and covering most of the windows, few are left open to let in the daylight, though the tavern is always lit with candles. The walls themselves are barely visible because of the barrels upon barrels of ale, wine, and liquor stacked and stored along their base. There is a long bar against the back wall with stools for all come and sit. As walking in there is a closet to put belongings and two tables with benches that stretch a long distance as to hold a large population of people. To the left lay a stage where fiddlers and flute players congregate from time to time as well as many other bards traveling throughout Hyboria wanting to pay for a meal and bed with song. To the right is the archway leading to the mess hall.
Though the half of the mess hall which is to the front of the building resembles the tavern with its large table and benches, for eating and dining, it is more elegant; dimmer lighting and a chandelier hanging over the table, a finer grain wood usually covered by a lavish Stygian silk table cloth. If a meal isn’t being served exotic fruits, berries, nuts, and cheeses are placed in finely crafted dishes all along the table. The back of the mess hall how ever had a very relaxing feel. From the archway walking in from the tavern a tunnel of drapes carries serenely to large quilted sofas and loveseats that, after long days of traveling can be more inviting that heaven itself. Beside the sofas scattered in a large circle around a knee high table are the Stygian sitting pillows with small baskets containing blankets and wash cloths. To the back of the comfort area of the mess hall is a stairway leading to other chamber of the Republic’s keep. This stairway is cover by a transparent silk draping that can be pushed to either side to allow passage.

The Upper Level:
This level is used primarily for Republic members sleeping quarters and private rooms. Though to the very back is a locked door which contains the War Room.

The War Room:
The War Room has few furnishing only candles set on pillars for light and a couple stain glass windows. In the center lies a circular table surrounded by plush leather chairs were the officers of the Republic of Hyboria gather to have meetings, preliminary voting, and other topics of discussion that require privacy. To the back of the room is a large cabinet used to store documents and writing tools to keep record of the events that take place within the meetings as well as calculating votes.

The Training Room and Barracks:
Outside the doors of the main keep are several small buildings. The first of which is the barracks. This once again is composed of two rooms separated by a large open archway. The main room has a large rectangular table that often has battle plans scattered across it. The table stands rather high and is used while standing being that there are no seats within the barracks. The stone walls are rather bare except for tapestries bearing the crest of the Republic and the racks of weapons and shields lining the walls. Here is discussed the operations of different roles one may take in battle and the different paths you can choose within your role.
The second room is yet even more barren having only weapons against the walls and smooth marble floor which at its end leads to a short wide stairway where two large wooden doors will lead one to the training grounds. The doors are most often left wide open to allow people to move freely from an indoor setting to an outdoor. The only time these doors are sealed is during attack or to avoid foul weather from coming in to the barracks directly.

The Library and Anti Chamber:
This building is made up or two floors, the lower having a large room and a locked door to one side that is rather small. Upon walking in is a table containing small boxes as a directory to find a particular item within the large building. This building is also the most lavishly decorated. Fine tapestries and curtains cover any sign of stone or wood that makeup the walls. All tables and chairs are made from the finest oaks and rare woods Hyboria has to offer. Iles of shelves containing texts from throughout the ages can be found on the first and second floors. The first floor has battle tactic books, as well as ones used for tradeskill knowledge. The second floor has several relaxing sofas, chairs, and loveseats where one can get comfortable and enjoy a good book. The second floor contains Hyborian literature that is dedicated to entertainment as opposed to the first floor is used for boosting knowledge.
The locked door on the first floor of the library leads to a small room once again with comfortable seating arrangements for five to six people, each seat having a small personal table to its side to rest drinks or food one may have. This room is used to speak with delegates who are not of the Republic, but provides a nice private setting where discussions may take place. In the corner is a knee high cabinet that is always stocked fresh with a glass container either filled with brandy or whiskey as well as small bowels of finger snacks and several large tankards that can be filled from the ale keg directly adjacent to the cabinet.
